Why I love being a Grad Photographer

I see a lot of myself in these graduates which is why these sessions are so important to me. You've spent the last 4 or 5 years becoming who you are now. A young adult who is trying their best to figure out how to leap into reality. It's stressful time. But for this one morning or afternoon you curl your hair, put on your heels and finally get to feel the excitement of graduation.

I recently just graduated the University of Florida with my Bachelors in Advertising and a minor in Business Administration. I have to say, I had a blast being a part of the Journalism school. I found my place on that huge campus and made my impact where I saw fit. It was scary, fun, sad, joyful and wicked crazy being in college. It’s bittersweet and seeing my own graduation pictures was surreal. But why do I love doing others photos?

Well... I was taken by surprise by all the things I’ve learned from my peers just by spending an hour of getting close to them and learning about their personal lives. They tell me their hopes and dreams along with their regrets and failures. They all talk about their favorite bar moments, the exams they barely passed or relatable college stories that I find to be so entertaining. I get so excited when I hear about the cities they’re moving to or their next adventure. I love keeping up with my grads and following them on social media watching them make their dreams reality.
